Steel drum teacher Zeev Saffir will be leaving after a year to work for his father selling dental supplies at their family owned company Safco, which was founded by his grandfather.

“I have sincerely enjoyed the opportunity to work at HM,” Saffir said. “Though I love working with kids, I never thought I would go into education. My passion has been steelpan for a long time, and I feel extremely fortunate to have found a job that so perfectly matches my interests.”

Saffir’s most enjoyable moment this year was seeing his students perform at the first ever steelband concert earlier this month.
